Info Poster on ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR) and Indigenous Peoples

The ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR) is the overarching human rights institution of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) with the overall responsibility of promoting and protecting human rights in the region. Though the mandate of AICHR is presently limited, it provides certain opportunities for indigenous peoples to engage with AICHR to raise their concerns and issues and there has been some engagement of indigenous peoples with the ASEAN and the AICHR. The AIPP, in this info poster produced with support from FORUM-ASIA, looks into the AICHR, its purposes, mandate and limitations and opportunities for indigenous peoples in and their engagement with the AICHR.
