In the proces, AIPP has become a dynamic regional organization responding to key issues and concerns of indigenous peoples in Asia. At present, Asia Indigenous Peoples Pact (AIPP) has 39 members, including 11 candidate members from 13 countries in Asia. These candidate members are approved by the Executive Council (EC) during this tenure. Their confirmation as full-fledged members will take place in mid 2011 when they are endorsed by the General Assembly (GA). Of these 39 members, 8 are national federations.
